Loriann in Sudan

About Lori

Family
I’m a Wisconsin girl, with two brothers and one sister in law, with another one on the way.  I’ve got two of the cutest nephews I’ve ever laid eyes on.  We’ve got really loving and God-fearing parents who raised us to love and trust God.

Life in Milwaukee
God has blessed me more than I could have imagined!  I worked at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission’s Milwaukee Public Choice School, Cross Trainers Academy as a first grade teacher for two years and as a summer program teacher for three summers before that.  God has blessed me not only with a job that I love at the mission, but also with a true family in my girls who I’ve gotten to live and teach with over the last two school years.

I graduated from UWL in 2006 with a degree in Education and amazing friends.  My highschool years were spend at Martin Luther High School in Greendale, WI.  I grew up at Elmbrook Church and have been there ever since with a short break during college when I was a part of First Free in Onalaska, WI.

Fun Stuff
I LOVE backpacking, painting, soccer, frisbee, picnics, and spending all the time I can in the great outdoors.

Hi Lori,
My name is Jerekah and im a 24yr old writing to you from Austrlia. I found your blog on an internet search and i can see that God has been doing great work through you over there! In my search i was hoping to find any missionaries in Sudan who i could contact. My reason is that i have a young Eritrean friend who found refuge in Australia a few years ago. However her younger brother has left his homeland in Eritrea and has been wandering from country to country (ethiopia to saudi arabia to yemen then back to ethiopia and finally to sudan)hoping to find refuge in another counrty as if he is found and brought back to Eritrea he will most likely be killed as he has run away from his duites in his Eritrean army. This is as much as i know from my friend who is desperately worried about her brother. She has minmal contact with him and has tried to send him money for food, but it hasnt been able to reach him and has ,most likely been taken by other people who promised the delivery of the money. Im sorry to bother you with this, but he is in need of depesperate refuge as he has nothing except the clothes he is wearing and the UN we have contated is unable to do much for him at all. (Alot of paperwork that never seems to amount to anything). Is it possible that i could give him your location in Sudan, that he may possibly have shelter and food?? Or if there is anyone else that you know that could help him?? Im not sure when we will hear fron him next, but by Gods grace i pray that it may be soon.
My email addy is: jerekah_amor@msn.com

Dear Lori,

I read your blog and pray for you. Your heart, love and burden for the Goma Ganza brothers and sisters are amazing. And of course, your love for the Lord. I praise God because of you.

Blessings,

Laiu
